Participants gathered from all over the country, showed powerful endurance in the Senior National Judo Championship 2014-15, taking place at DSVV in Hardwar, Uttrakand.

Till second day, rounds tackled between women's weight classes 52, 57 and 78 kg, and the men's weight classes 66, 73 and 100 kg were completed with very tough edgy competition.

Security forces Dominated throughout at this First Senior National Judo Championship. Some participants received their Gold Medals in their first round by earning Ippon (full points) where as some got their medal by adding waza-aris and yukos to gain points. Some won this competition by defeating their rivals their surprising holding techniques.

By the end of the second day, in Men's 66 kg class, Irom Sanju Singh of SSCB won the Gold medal and Kishan Kumar of CISF won the silver medal.  All India Police Sports Board’s Hardeep and Delhi’s Ankit Bist settled with the third position.

In the category of Men’s 73 kg,  Balavinder Singh of SSCB  achieved Gold, BSF’s Karamveer singh won Silver and Pawan Kumar of CRPF and Pradeep of CISF conquered  bronzes .

In women's 52kg category, O Rasheshwari from Manipur took the first place and All India Police Sports Board’s A. Anita Chanu came on second where as Delhi’s Neha Thakur and Mizoram’s Lalhum Hichi had to satisfy with third place. 

Pooja Shahpurkar of Karnataka became Gold medalist, Silver medalist - Shivani from All India Police Sports Board and T. Sanamacha of Manipur and Suchika Triyal of CISF became bronze medalist    in the women’s 57 kg category.

In women's 78kg group All India Police Sports Board’s Rajvinder Kaur came first, Devisri  from Karnataka second and Harpreet Kaur of Punjab and  Aarti Sharma of CRPF took third .

Haridwar’s DM Mr. D. Senthil Pandian, Shamali’s  DM Mr. N.P.Singh, SSP of Haridwar Mrs. Sweetie Agarwal, Vice- chancellor of  Devsnskriti University Dr. Chinmaya Pandya, Province Promoter Dr Harish, Haridwar’s PNB Circle Head Mr. Puneet Jain and President of the Judo Federation of India, Mr. Mukesh Kumar and Mr. Swami Kailashanand etc. honored  Medals to all these National Judo Championship winners.

There are 36 teams participating in this competition and according to Rajiv Sharma, the President of the organizing committee of the Senior National Judo Championship, renowned national and international level players are exhibiting their skills in this event.
