Sri Sri Brahmananda Saraswati Swamiji with his team has visited Shantikunj couple of times. Just last year they had been to Shantikunj with a team of 50 and had personally met Shraddeya Jiji and Drji.Swami Brahmanandaji has been calling the womens wing of Mumbai ( Dahisar) from last couple of years to conduct Gayatri Yagna among the masses. The team under the able guidance of Smt Kumari Manjunath Shetty has been gradually developing sadhaks in and Mangalore.

Smt Kumari Shetty didi lovingly called as ‘Mausiji’ has earnest devotion towards Yugrishi and is instrumental in bringing masses on this hallowed path of Gayatri Her joy knew no bounds when her resident at Balkunja in Mangalore became a Pragya Kendra. Her abode further soared when she translates Yugrishis books into Kannada.We all read geeta but she lives Bhagwad geeta in her life.Like a flowing river who merges in an ocean she has merged herself completely into Yugrishis consciousness.

About the recently conducted Yagna training camp

Early in April this year Swami Brahmanandaji had invited dahisar team spearheaded under the guidance of Kumari Shetty didi, Jayalakshmi Shetty didi ,Smt Jhanvi Karkera , Smt Leela Kunder and others for training his young students on Gayatri Yagna Vidi and Vidhan for Nine days. A special camp was conducted for 160 students from 1st April to 9th April.

Around 160 students participated in the training.The team trained students on practical method of yagnas ,the karmkandas, the rituals, the process, shantikunj style of vedic chanting of  mantras and its sonic pronunciation, the pragya bhajans, the ethics and principles, knowledge and wisdom of Gayatri,  Gayatri meditation.……everything was taught in a rhythmic manner. Every aspect of their learning and practice was directed towards universal peace and prosperity through the elevation of universal consciousness.All students were initiated by Gayatri Mantra Diksha in the subtle presence of Yugrishis.

It was the conducive environment of the ashrama, the willingness, shradda, devotion, faith and Yugrishis blessings the students also responded well and all of them qualified to perform yagna. Their learning rhythmic Vedic chanting with clear pronunciation touched the heart of one and all. It vibrated the atmosphere.

We are also proud of our Womens Wing  who has done rigorous and tireless practice for nine days to make the seeds blossom and usher the new generation. They had sowed the divine seeds of Gayatri in the consciousness of this students.
