24th August ,Saturday was a life transforming day for the 250 plus students of Trombay Public High School.Populated densely by muslim students the major challenges facing the school management was  many of them leave education half way ,or irregularity in attending the school ,addiction to smoking, tobacco and even alcohol, drugs  pornography and much more .There is a severe deficit in values .Most of students exhibit abusive and violent behavior .

DIYA Mumbai under the aegis of Dr Varun Manek ,Dr Hemant patil & Dr  Kavita , DIYA Hitesh Joshi ( Scientist at BARC) , Smt Rekha Kaul ,Shri S. K. KAUL (BARC) and others conducted a mega de addiction and oral hygiene camp .One of the rare moments of exposure for underprivileged schools.

Principal Halima madam was deeply indebted by the selfless workshop done by DIYA.
 
Along with, Over 50 trees where planted at Central Railway School, Kalyan(W). The response from the school management was overwhelming. They have invited DIYA for many other workshops  like Pragya yoga and meditation, Deaddcition programs  & some more creative activities for their students. The principal himself said that he can provide us the school hall having capacity of 400-500 people.All students gathered at the ground selected for plantation along with teachers and DIYA Volunteers around 12 pm. Hitesh educated them about the norms of tree plantation;

The school is arranging Book Fair on 5th and 6th of September. We have taken permission for book stall of Param Pujya Gurudev Sahityas as well which they readily and gracefully accepted.

Next Anupriya didi plans to put Param Pujya Gurudevs sadvakyas in the school and take permission to establish a spiritual books of Param Pujya Gurudev  in schools library .
