23 rd October 2018/DIYA Mumbai ( Anushatinagar) / Sharad Poornima Full Moon Meditation :- Despite the fact that stress has adverse effects on our life we still deny admitting it to be a mental disorder. Leading a stressful life hinders our efficiency and lessens our ability to live a healthy and happy life. Unless every individual is stress free society by large cannot be stress free. With this vision Meditation Circle was formed in BARC 2 years back. DIYA Shradda Patle leads the team. The team meets every Friday to experience deep silence, peace, calmness by practising various forms of meditation taught by Pujya Gurudev and Shraddeya Drji.

Meditation circle had organised full moon meditation on 23rd October 2018 in BARC i.e. Sharad Poornima. Many scientists gathered on the peaceful venue to see, meditate and do moon gazing. Moon and its sixteen kalas, the more kalas moon has the more it is shining, but the ansh of light it is reflecting is its kala... so sixteen kala moon is full moon. Shaard Poornima is a 16 KALA Full Moon. Full moons stir up our emotions and amplify mystical powers connected to the human spirit.

The program started by an smoothing Bhajan by Dr Jyothi Tripathi , Anita Bhandakar didi Kaar Rahe Sadhana hum ……..Shri S K Bhandakarji explained that once the habit of meditation is formed, it should be made possible to do it in all circumstances, lying, sitting, walking, alone, in company, in silence or in the midst of noise etc. The first internal condition necessary is concentration of the will against the obstacles to meditation, i.e. wandering of the mind, forgetfulness, sleep, physical and nervous impatience and restlessness etc. The second is an increasing purity and calm of the inner consciousness (chitta) out of which thought and emotion arise, a freedom from all disturbing reactions, such as anger, grief, depression, anxiety about worldly happenings etc. Mental perfection and moral are always closely allied to each other.

All participants then chanted Chandra Gayatri, Mahamrutyanjaya & Gayatri Mantras together with DIYA Shradda Patle didi, Nista and team. Then Shradda didi explained and conducted 3 cycles of Chandra Bhedana Pranayama as a very simple and effective breathing technique. This was followed by moon meditation which gave all participants peace and tranquillity! The clear sky and full moon sprinkled its elixir (Amrit) over all participants healing them in and out. The healing and nourishing night, gave lot of power and sanctity. The collective chant, the meditation on full moon let to peace and beauty of the full moon soak into everybody’s body and soul. Special Kheer with cows milk was prepared by DIYA Volunteers as prasadam. The same was exposed to Full Moon. This prasadam also called as Chandra Paak has many healing properties exposed to moon light specially prevention of Asthma.
The moon baths purifying light steeped up body and spirit of all participants, washing away negativity and leaving all fresh and renewed.
