Blood donation is one of the ideal forms of donation that serves as a life- saving gift for many people. It is a selfless act in which both the donor and beneficiary remain anonymous to each other. Yet,the fluid of life plays its role in helping the beneficiary and at the same time ,provides great satisfaction to the donor, also bringing about a feeling of universal brotherhood.

DIYA Mumbai (Thane) had organized a Blood Donation camp at Pragya Kendra Thane on the eve of  Yuva diwas (Swami Vivekananda Birthday) i.e 11th January Sunday.

The drive saw an impressive response. Several volunteers enthusiastically donated blood to show their love and care for those grappling  with medical complications and life threatening situations. The total collection summed up to 53 Units. Donors were issued certificates.

DIYA Upendra Chaubey and Dr Varun Manek spearheaded the drive smoothly. DIYA Mahendra, DIYA Nischal, DIYA Vivek Panchal,DIYA Punit Panchal,Shri Prahlad Panchal,DIYA Swapnil Shanu, DIYA Shradda Dubey, DIYA Varidi Yadav,DIYA Pradeep Mishra, DIYA Santosh Singh,DIYA Gaurav,DIYA Mrutyanjaya  and the whole team toiled hard to make it a success.

Like every year DIYA - Bhaba Atomic Research Centre (BARC) plans to conduct their annual Blood donation rive on 15th Feb 2015.This would be their 9th Blood donation drive.
